Towards a cleaner and healthier environment
Cheshire East Council has a stated aim to be carbon neutral by 2025. The UK Government has a stated aim to be carbon neutral by 2050. The climate crisis is real and growing.
I am hoping do a little bit to reduce harmful emissions and make Congleton a cleaner and healthier place to live by encouraging people to take fewer car journeys and use Active Travel (walking and cycling) modes of transportation.
I know that people will only use active travel alternatives if it is safe and easy to do so, therefore I encourage our local council to consider building active travel solutions into any proposed projects.
Padgbury Lane speed reduction proposal
Cheshire East Highways have proposed to reduce traffic speed along Padgbury Lane. I think their proposal can be improved and I very much hope you will agree and support the suggestions that I have set out in my letter. You can read more about it here and you can sign my form for support here
